LOL Redser and AG .... I am going to have to do an "FF" .... and say Behave !!!
Yolks ... You make a point and giving managers time is correct , but I believe that is has to be the right manager ......Is it Moyes ? Probably not. But clubs like Chelsea or Madrid aren't exactly shining examples when you consider both have under performed in recent years despite having spent more than us. You could also argue Chelsea would have been in a much stronger position right now if they did not sack Mourinho/Ancelotti. And how many managers (and compensation packages) do they go through before finally finding the right one? I'd rather not take part in that circus.
At the moment, the two most consistent teams in the league are the ones who stood by their managers despite hard times.

Which is why giving Moyes a six year contract makes no sense to me at all !!! If he fails ... and it looks like it could happen , thats compensation money United will have to pay , to a Manager that maybe wasnt the right appointment to begin with ?? OK ... He does deserve time , and January looks like his alamo for Uniteds season anyway .... When Carlo has enough of spain I think he will be a perfect fit for United. He is not a mercenary ... I mean how many years did he spend at Milan ? He has won leagues and European cups , is a really nice Man and I think Chelsea lost a great manager there , but at least gave him the experience of winning Silverware in England .

Ancelotti has flitted from big money club to the next since Milan
If united want to take this route then he would be a good target
But I don't think they will because they want another busby or ferguson, a manager who is integrated into the ethos of the club and not just a fancy big name managing us
