I'd have the same but Pires over Giggs for me, maybe Bergkamp over Cantona too! Problem is I know how well Begkamp, Pires and Henry played together they were a ruthless attacking force. Yeah they were in the same room as each other mate, must've spent all day together actually, and as far as I can tell there were no punch ups! True, i suppose it all really depends what side of the fence you're on. United fans would have more of their own in there and viceversa. That side would have ruled europe, no doubt about it. |

Did Roy have a point about SAF not wanting to give up control of United really ? i dont know ...... Would you if you was in his position and had pretty much pulled the club to what it has become ? Possibly ...... I've heard it said that Paisley had to request that Shankly not be present at the club any more, such was the influence that the former manager had. I think that's right, the new manager needs to have that kind of control, even if it means the greatly respected former manager is put out. It all comes down to what the new manager wants, right? Hypothetically, let's say Moyes does begin to think that SAF's presence is a problem. Do we think he'd be able to get SAF to back off? Does he have the kind of influence and control Paisley obviously did, enough to outweigh the former manager who was such a great? I don't think he does, or anything near it. Its an interesting question  |
