He's only overrated because he's an Englishman and has therefore been hyped up by the media! I think anyone that watches him can tell that he's a great player, you wouldn't exactly call him world class but like you say Tel, he's had a lot of problems with injuries but he could get there one day!

What about people like Schweinsteiger, Danni Alves and Reus who have all praised Wilshire? Are they over rating him because of their English bias? I think he gets all the credit he deserves, if it was not for his injuries then you would probably be looking at the best midfielder of his age. I would still put players like Gotze and Isco infront of him but once Wilshire adds goals to his game then he can certainly be up there with the best.
