It's not too cold, it's fairly mild most of the time to be honest, it's not as warm as Oz but I don't think you'll have any problems acclimatising! Yes we do drink a lot of ale, I'm not a huge fan of it though I prefer lager but sometimes a pint of ale goes down well, on one of the few days that it's fucking cold!
